In ancient Hawaiian times, only Ali'i (royalty) wore the adorned Kukui nut lei.
The Kukui tree is a symbol of enlightenment, protection and peace.

When the earliest settlers arrived in Hawai'i by boat 1500 years ago, they
brought with them only highly beneficial items. Amongst their
prized cargo were Kukui nut seeds to plant. The nuts, bark,
flowers, leaves, sap & wood had many uses for them and
provided; oil for fire torches (thus, also called Candlenut),
medicinal remedies, shade, dyes for tattoos & tapa cloth, food,
canoes, varnish & traditional leis.

Our genuine Kukui nut leis are skillfully handmade using
only the highest quality components and will be enjoyed &
admired for years and years. You can polish them with a little
coconut or baby oil if needed.
